Localised and Institution-wide forums for Research Technical Professionals (RTProfs)

RTProf_Forums Meetings 2026

Lunch / Coffee break series, which brings together research technicians from across campuses to share experiences, build networks, and support professional development.

These forums are primarily aimed at colleagues who are part of the Specialist pathway (typically grades 5–9). However, the meetings are open to anyone with an interest in specialist technical roles, including those who may be considering this pathway in the future.

Join us for our first RTProf Lunch / Coffee of the new academic year, taking place simultaneously across campuses.

It will be a great opportunity to catch up after the summer, welcome new colleagues and chat with fellow technicians, as well as hear from our guest speaker.

Advance HE Fellowship & Teaching Development

We are delighted to welcome Sara Hattersley, Associate Professor in Warwick Academic Development Centre, to talk about Advance HE Fellowship – internationally recognised professional recognition for people who teach or support learning in higher education.

The session will also be an opportunity to discuss more broadly what training and professional development would be useful for technicians involved in teaching, from one-to-one training on specialist equipment and demonstrations to practical teaching and teaching larger groups.
