External Examiners Payment Dates

***COVID-19 INFORMATION***

Due to the current Covid-19 situation we are facing in the UK, the University will only accept payment and expenses forms that are submitted digitally to externalexaminers@warwick.ac.uk. Payments and reimbursement of expenses (within 3 months of receipt) will still be processed but may take a little longer due to remote working. Payment and expenses claim forms can be found on the Fees and Expenses page.

The next HR and Payroll cut-off date(s) for payment of External Examiner fees is:

Undergraduate

Between 27th September 2020 and 27th October 2020

Tuesday 24th November 2020
Postgraduate Taught Not applicable Within 6 working weeks*
PGCE

Between 27th September 2020 and 27th October 2020

Tuesday 24th November 2020

*For postgraduate taught examiners, upon submission of your External Examiner Annual Report and a completed Postgraduate Taught Expenses and Fee Claim Form, you can expect payment to be processed within 2-3 weeks.

Please note, the above dates do not relate to the deadline for your External Examiner Annual Report. They are provided here as a guideline for when you can expect payment, during our next payment window, following submission of your report.

Payment requests being sent to Payroll/Finance will be dependent upon all details and documentation, such as Right to Work, VAM forms (UG only) and bank details, being in place. If any of these details/documents are missing, this may delay payment.

Payment of External Examiner fees cannot be made if your External Examiner report has not yet been submitted.
