Core duties:

To work closely with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning), Academic Registrar and Deputy Academic Registrar, taking responsibility for:

• The development of quality assurance policies and the operation of quality assurance procedures
• The development and delivery of the University’s Learning and Teaching Strategy
• Leading the University’s response to changes in the external quality framework and representing the University at national meetings
• Leading on audit-related interactions with the Quality Assurance Agency
• Liaising with Professional, Statutory and Regulatory bodies and working with academic departments and administrative services providers on matters relating to assurance and enhancement activities

Biography: Katharine joined the University of Warwick in 2001, first as the Assistant Registrar in the Registrar’s Office. She has since worked on timetabling and the allocation of academic accommodation; student number planning, management information, resource allocation to academic departments and institutional governance. She was seconded to the Department of Chemistry in 2009 and moved into her current role in Teaching Quality in 2010. Prior to joining Warwick, Katharine worked at the University of Surrey and in local government.
