This print has links with the two collages displayed nearby. Like them, it has been influenced by the debris lying on a Spanish road. The critic, Norbert Lynton, commented thus on Thubron's working method: 'His way with collage was to collect all sorts of bits of stuff that took his fancy because of their colour or texture, and then slowly, over the years at times, bring them together as images, flat or three dimensional'.
