Paul Brason was born in London in 1952. He studied at the Camberwell College of Art. Primarily a portrait painter he as painted many well-known figures including HRH Prince Michael of Kent. In 1998 he won the Ondaatje award for portraiture and in 2000 he was elected as President of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters. His work is in many private and public collections including the National Portrait Gallery.
