Beatriz Lagunas
Assistant Professor in the School of Life Sciences, SLS EDI co-lead
Beatriz is the SLS skills lead, module convenor for first-year laboratories and is heavily involved in wet laboratory teaching. Beatriz also co-leads the EDI committee in SLS.
Damien Homer
Deputy Director of Wellbeing and Safeguarding
Damien's team supports and produces reasonable adjustment plans for students across Warwick. They work closely with academic departments who use lab spaces to better align our practices.
Christine Lockey
Assistant Professor in the School of Life Sciences, SLS EDI Community Culture co-lead
Christine delivers practical laboratory sessions and oversees provision of dry labs in first-year undergraduate teaching.
Emma Picot
Assistant Professor in the School of Life Sciences, SLS EDI Disability TaskForce lead
Emma assesses student needs and offers reasonable adjustments in laboratory settings. Emma also provides oversight to all SLS laboratories and is the Graduate Teaching Assistant lead.
Stephen Bromfield

Stephen provides strategic oversight of the practical curriculum and underpinning processes and is module leader for second-year labs.
Emily Roberts
PhD Researcher, lab demonstrator in Physics
Emily teaches undergraduates in labs where reasonable adjustments are not implemented the same way as in other areas of student life. As a chronically ill student herself, she knows how life changing good reasonable adjustments can be.
Sophie Martucci

Sophie oversees the academic and pastoral support for students at the School of Life Sciences, at all levels of study. This support includes ensuring students have appropriate reasonable adjustments for all aspects of their teaching and learning.
Dani Pearson
Assistant Professor, Deputy Director of Teaching Laboratories and Disabled Student Champion in Chemistry
Dani provides oversight for the implementation of reasonable adjustments in the Chemistry Teaching Laboratories and she is also the module leader for Year 1 labs.
Amanda Lang
Director of Student Experience in the School of Engineering
Amanda supports students during their journey. She is safeguarding lead and also sits on Mitigating Circumstances panels. She is also a personal tutor and leads the Inclusive Education work in the school.
Freija Guntripp
Undergraduate Student, SLS Disability Student Network co-lead
Freija co-leads the SLS Disability Student Network and has been a disability advocate from the start of her student journey, benefitting herself from RAdjs in labs. Freija has been an active student co-creator in the RAiLS team from the start of the project.
Alex Grainger
Student Inclusion Officer
Alex is a part-time inclusion officer within the Inclusive Education Team (Dean of Students Office). Alex is involved in a number of projects aimed at removing barriers to success for different groups of students, including for students with disabilities.

Elvani helps to review the reasonable adjustments documents and websites, making it more engaging and accessible for the students, and has helped with the organisation of the RAiLS conference.
Divine Edegbayi Oyewole

As a masters student herself, Divine focuses on the postgraduate experience of reasonable adjustments within lab spaces. Divine is looking into the challenges students may face in practical and research environments, while highlighting areas where support and inclusive adjustments could be improved.
Samantha Wilson-Thain
Associate Professor and Director of Student Experience in the School of Life SciencesWith nearly 20 years in HE, she champions inclusive, student-centred learning grounded in equity and belonging. A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, her co-creative work with minoritised students amplifies underrepresented voices and informs inclusive classroom practice, global student support, and DEI-focused innovation.
