Recording an Introduction Video in Bizzabo

For Offer Holder Virtual Events 2023, departments have been asked to film a general introduction to their course(s). These will become available on demand for offer holders to watch any time after 1 Feb, when all Virtual Events will be made live.

Sessions should be recorded on Mon 16 Jan (latest Fri 20 Jan, by agreement)

Speakers listed on departmental submissions have been sent a portal invite to this recording session. Speakers can log in and record their video at any time on Mon 16 Jan (00:00 - 29:59). Your introduction will be reviewed before being added to the Offer Holder Virtual Events 2023 site.

As the recording sessions are not live to external visitors, you will only need to watch minutes 00:30 -12:30 and 25:00 -25:15.

  • 01:40 - Setting up your webcam and virtual room - includes uploading files, setting up quizzes (5:00 and 18:00) and using the playlist (06:55)
  • 08:55 - Checking your tech
  • 12:30 - Recording your sessions
  • 25:00 - Ending your session

Guidelines for recording

  • The introduction presentation should last between 10 - 20 minutes. The presentation should not exceed 20minutes.
  • The speaker’s camera must be on
  • The speaker must introduce themselves
  • Only cover content that is relevant to 2023 offer holders
  • Must include an outro signposting any enquiries to contact email addresses or in person/virtual activity dates
  • Topics you may wish to include in the presentation:
    • Welcome to the department
    • Introduction to the course(s) – year 1 core and optional modules
    • Typical timetable/ contact hours
    • Study aboard and Year in Industry (if applicable)
    • Technical Skills gained throughout the course
    • Graduate destinations
    • Facilities
    • General Warwick and Departmental unique selling points
    • Research
