Access should be prevented to the mechanisms associated with overhead cranes or any other lifting equipment when the equipment is not in use, except for authorised persons.

Any mobile lifting equipment used at the University must be left in a condition that prevents unauthorised access when they are not in use. For example, lift platforms to be left in a raised position and keys to be removed.
