How to connect to the eduroam Wi-Fi network on Windows 11
Introduction
eduroam, short for “education roaming,” is a secure, global WiFi access service designed for the international research and education community. It enables students, researchers, and staff to obtain internet connectivity across campus and at other participating institutions worldwide, simply by using their home institution’s login credentials.

How to connect to eduroam on Windows 11
Before proceeding with the manual setup guide on this page, you may wish to try the automated tool available at https://cat.eduroam.org
Manual Setup
- Click the Network icon in the system tray and open the list of Wi-Fi networks.
- Select the eduroam network, check Connect automatically, and click the Connect button.
- Enter your usercode and password in the format u1234567@warwick.ac.uk
- Before connecting, click Show certificate details to check the security certificate is valid. The server name and thumbprint should match the information shown below:

If the server thumbprint does not match you should click cancel to stop the connection.

If the details match, you can continue the connection - click Connect to confirm the connection to the network.
