Introduction

A laptop can be a useful tool for students who need to access online resources, create documents, or work on assignments. However, not all students have their own devices, or they may encounter technical issues that prevent them from using them. To address this problem, we offer laptop loans for up to 31 days.

Laptop loans

Students without a working computer can request a loan laptop temporarily for up to 31 days. The service is intended to support students while they arrange to get their device fixed/replaced.

The loan laptop provided is either a 14” Dell Latitude or a 15" HP EliteBook.

For both schemes, the laptops provided come with Windows 10 Enterprise, Microsoft 365, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Defender Antivirus, Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. Additional software can be installed via the Software Centre app on campus before taking the laptop home.

PLEASE NOTE: only software pre-installed or available in the Software Centre app (located in the start menu) can be installed, downloaded software is restricted by admin permissions.

There is no charge for the service.
