- A valid ITS Account.
- An active internet connection.
- A current web browser
- Admin rights on your computer, to install the software. You may have to arrange this through your departmental IT support.

Install the Cisco AnyConnect client (if not already installed)

- If you have a previous version of the client already installed, this is automatically detected and updated.
- At the start of installation, your operating system is automatically detected - please be patient as this can take some time. Note that on Macs this is quicker in Safari than in Chrome.
- In some cases, you may need to download the client and install it manually - please follow the on-screen instructions.

A guide to download the client from Cisco:
- Enter this URL in your browser's address bar: https://campusvpn.warwick.ac.uk/staff
- Enter your ITS Account username and password, then select theLogin button to begin the AnyConnect client installation process.
3. Select Continue when a window to confirm you are connecting to the University Network is displayed.
4. A window prompting you to download the AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client appears (the content will vary depending on your operating system). Select the button to Download for Windows or Download for macOS:
5. After selecting Download for Windows/macOS, select the option to save the Cisco AnyConnect Client installation file:
6. Follow the steps below (select an image for a larger version):
You've now installed the client software.

Use Cisco AnyConnect to connect to the VPN service

Open the Cisco AnyConnect client once it's finished installing. On a Windows computer, you'll find it in the Start Menu:
Enter the URL campusvpn.warwick.ac.uk/staff and your ITS Account username and password:
If you've already set up the client (to use campusvpn.warwick.ac.uk) and are taken straight to the sign-in screen, select Cancel. This takes you back to the previous screen, where you can enter the URL campusvpn.warwick.ac.uk/staff instead.

Disconnect from the VPN

The VPN service is used by about 3,000 staff. Even with the new, improved service that's a lot of users to support. Therefore please do disconnect from the VPN when you don't need to use it. This will help everyone work effectively.
On a Windows computer, select the up arrow in the taskbar, open the Cisco AnyConnect Client via its icon, and select Disconnect:
