Edit page content

You can edit page content in SiteBuilder via a web browser – there's no need for additional software.

Edit page content with the Components Editor

The Components Editor is an evolution of the old visual editor. It's based on components, such as images, news feeds and layout blocks. You can add components to a page along with text and tables, configuring and repositioning the components as necessary.

    1. Ensure that you're signed in to warwick.ac.uk.
    2. Browse to the page you want to edit.
    3. In the utility links at the top of the screen, select Edit. You need edit permissions to do so, otherwise you won't see the Edit link – contact the page owner for access.

Note: you can currently only use the Components Editor to edit pages that are created for it. In a future SiteBuilder release, there will be a button on the Current page tab to convert existing pages.

    4. Choose Edit > Edit centre content.
    5. Alternatively, on the Current page tab in SiteBuilder, select Edit centre content.
    6. The Components Editor has:

      • A toolbar at the top to format text, add tables and create links.

      • A menu on the left to add components such as layout blocks, images, search boxes and news feeds.
    7. Add content to your page as needed.

    8. When you've finished editing your page, select Preview to see your changes in a pop-up window.
    9. Close the preview window and make any further edits, as necessary.
    10. When you're happy with your page, select Publish.

Note: it's not possible to save draft edits to continue working on later. When you select Publish, your changes go live immediately.
