Edit surrounding content

For page templates other than the default blank template, the centre content is replaced by dynamic content – for example, news stories in the news template or a survey in a form. You can edit the surrounding content immediately above or below the dynamic content of any template except for the textile page.

  1. Go to Edit > Edit surrounding content. (If you see Edit centre content instead, you're editing a blank page template.)

    Edit dropdown menu

  2. In the visual editor, enter your text above and below <content placeholder>. Ensure you don't delete the placeholder. If you delete it by mistake, the position of the dynamic content (news, form, forum, etc.) defaults to the bottom of the page, beneath any surrounding content.
