Enable visitors to save their progress on a form submission

The form administrator can specify whether visitors can save their progress. This is particularly useful for longer forms that take more than a few minutes to complete.

  1. Go to the form you wish to edit.
  2. Go Edit > Edit FormsBuilder page.
  3. In the Modify the form section, select Form properties.
  4. In the Making and editing submissions section, tick the checkbox Offer logged in users the chance to save their submission and return to it later.

Offer logged in users the chance to save their submission and return to it later

Note: A Save for later button will be displayed at the bottom of the form when you edit the properties described above. However if you have a long form, visitors may not realise that they are able to save the progress of their form submission. Therefore, consider how you might advise people of this. You could include this information in the instructions for the form, perhaps, or add a comment field to notify the visitor of the Save for later button.

This option is only available for logged in users so if your form is visible to anyone, note that external users who are not able to log in will not be able to save their submission progress.
