Tabula release notes
Tabula 2020.10.1 released
We released Tabula 2020.10.1 on Thursday 8th October 2020. In this version:
- We completed some preparatory work to enable the processing of marks by cohort. This will provide an alternative to processing marks by module.
- Via open source contributions:
- Oscar Harris (Computer Science):
- Made the module registration status on the Modules page of students' profiles visible to the relevant student.
- Fixed a bug affecting formative assessments with feedback provided outside of Tabula. These were appearing twice in the 'Feedback available' section of the Coursework page on students' profiles.
- Michael Gale (Computer Science) added start and end times to meeting records awaiting approval. Previously, just the date of the meeting was shown.
- Oscar Harris (Computer Science):
- Batched notifications are now enabled for all users who have not specified a preference. This means certain notifications of the same type are grouped together and sent at 10-minute intervals.
- When you add students to a small groups set via SITS query, any students registered on the module now automatically appear in the 'Find students' section on the 'Students' tab. The module the group set belongs to is pre-selected in the filters, but you can change this to generate a different list of students.
Tabula 2020.9.4 released
We released Tabula 2020.9.4 on Thursday 1st October 2020. In this version:
- We increased the maximum length available for links to more information from small group teaching events. This was previously 255 characters, which was causing problems when long links to events in Teams were added.
Tabula 2020.9.3 released
We released Tabula 2020.9.3 on Thursday 24th September 2020. In this version:
- The downloadable spreadsheet template for importing small group teaching events now includes the following columns:
- Link - a URL.
- Link text - this is optional. If left blank, 'More details' appears as the link text.
- When the result of a resit / further first sit requires a resit / further first sit via an exam, this can now be generated in the Marks Management component. The original assessment type is suggested as the resit assessment type, and you can specify the attempt number (1, 2 or 3).
Tabula 2020.9.2 released
We released Tabula 2020.9.2 on Thursday 17th September 2020. In this version we made the following changes to the Marks Management component:
- If a mark is changed in SITS and there is already a corresponding mark in Tabula, the two marks become out of sync. When this happens, a 'Pending mark changes' box now appears at the top of the main Marks page for a department. Via this box, you can import the mark from SITS, overwriting the one in Tabula.
- Where a student's grade for an assessment component is an indicator grade, the 'Calculate module marks' page no longer insists the same grade be used for components the student passed. The module mark is now calculated and the indicator grade is suggested as the module grade.
Tabula 2020.9.1 released
We released Tabula 2020.9.1 on Wednesday 9th September 2020. In this version:
- We fixed a bug that affected the student status filter on the 'My personal tutees' page. When you select 'Clear selected items' for this filter, permanently withdrawn students are now shown. Previously, these students only appeared if 'Permanently Withdrawn' was selected.
