Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2026 at Warwick

National Apprentice Week

With over 200 Warwick colleagues currently enrolled on a programme, it’s been our most successful year yet.

Over the past 12 months, we’ve launched new digital apprenticeship programmes, expanded our leadership and management offer, including a further cohort of the Level 7 Senior Leader Programme, multiple cohorts of the Level 5 Operations Manager Programme, and our pilot Level 3 Team Leader Programme. We also welcomed our first apprenticeship learners in Finance and Procurement, and broadened our provision within Estates, Technicians and the Nursery.

The latest survey results show 85% satisfaction with the programmes and its impact on professional development.

During National Apprenticeship Week, we’ll be holding a spotlight learning session and a Community Café. We’ll also be launching our new Project Management programme, along with additional dates for the Operations Manager Programme.

Visit our webpages to discover how apprenticeships can support your development or help grow the skills within your team.

Graduations

In January, we hosted our graduation event to celebrate the achievements of our apprenticeship learners. Congratulations were in order for all who successfully completed their programme, a fantastic milestone and the start of an exciting next chapter.

Warwick Degree Apprenticeships

Our Degree Apprenticeship provision continues to smash targets and national averages, which we are rightly proud of. This would not be possible without the relationship with our employer partners and our apprentices; this is further reflected in our current positive feedback of 87% and 85% respectively. In 2025, the achievement rates of our apprenticeship standards rose to 84%, 24% above the national benchmark.

We were also inspected for our role as an End Point Assessment Organisation, and received an outstanding report, reflecting on our assessment practices with our learners. Our apprentices tell us about their onward progression, realising some incredible career ambitions, as a direct result of their apprenticeship journey. All of this reflects Warwick's dedication in providing high-quality education and our commitment to provide apprentices with industry related skills and knowledge, not just for today, but into the future and beyond.

Louise McKeown is a Level 6 Digital & Technology Solutions Apprentice at Jaguar Land Rover, combining academic study with practical experience in a leading automotive and technology organisation. Watch the video below to hear about her experience:

We are very proud of our Warwick staff who have completed apprenticeship programmes.

Feedback from Learners

Line Manager Feedback

“The apprentice is already a truly integrated member of the team taking on small responsibilities and suggesting improvements in the daily workload. The ability to take on an apprentice has assisted succession planning. This greatly reduces the risk of losing crucial skills and knowledge and hopefully improves business continuity.”

Operations Manager Learner

“I have found the dedicated time to reflect on my learning and development really helpful. It's something that I feel we really overlook when we're in the thick of our day to day roles. Whilst there may be times to reflect e.g. in our PDRs, the apprenticeship gave me regular, dedicated time to consider the way I am approaching things as a manager, how I support my team, how I manage my self and my own workload.”

Line Manager Feedback

“The apprenticeships have become a vital part of the settings staff structure. I would recommend all departments to take on apprentices. The apprenticeship route really develops and showcases each learner's talents and skills which only benefits the department they are working in.”
