Warwick Chinese Orchestra Society Lunchtime Concert

Founded in 2011, Warwick Chinese Orchestra Society (WCOS) is a group of student musicians who are passionate about promoting traditional Chinese music to a wider community. Each year WCOS attracts lots of students who are interested in traditional Chinese music and looking for developing their existing skills whilst playing as part of the orchestra. Over the years, WCOS has been invited to perform for various events including Word Music Concert, ChiSoc New Year Gala and CDS China Summit. WCOS also holds termly concerts with a range of Chinese instruments and a fusion of traditional and pop music. Besides, WCOS runs several free workshops every year, which will be great chances for people with different cultural backgrounds but interested in Chinese music to have a great try. The aims of WCOS are to provide performance opportunities for Chinese instrument players and to build a bridge between Chinese and western music culture.
