Warwick A Win at St Andrews!

Warwick University Lifesaving Club took two teams to St Andrews to compete on Saturday 8th February, in their fifth BULSCA league competition of the season. They competed in 5 multidisciplinary events which were two SERCs (Simulated Emergency Response Competitions) one wet and one dry, a 4x12m Line Throw, 4x50m Medley Relay and finally a 4x100m Swim Tow. The B Team came in 2nd in the B league, narrowly pipped by Birmingham, and 9th overall. The A team dominated the opposition winning three of the 5 events; the Dry SERC, Line Throw and Swim Tow; and placing 2nd and 4th respectively in Wet SERC and Medley Relay. This combination of results allowed the A team to place 1st in the overall competition, their 2nd overall win of the season. This win at St Andrews has allowed Warwick University Lifesaving Club's A team to climb from 2nd to 1st place in the BULSCA A league, two points clear of their main rivals London Universities Lifesaving Club.
