Warwick Rugby League went into Sundays varsity match against Coventry as underdogs, playing a team in the league above them, however they won for the second year in row in convincing fashion, 24-4. Just 3 days later, despite a set of sore bodies, they sealed the Midlands 2A League title, smashing Oxford Brookes 62-0. A first league win in the clubs history.
