Outdoor Season Success for University's Archery Club

The first shoot was the British universities clout championships, in which the ground target is between 110 and 165m away. After some success here last year warwick went all in with a team of 14 entering, and came away with an impressive 10 medals including a clean sweep of golds in all four senior mens categories. The novice women claimed three golds, and the team took first place in the recurve, longbow and mixed team divisions.

One week later three archers travelled to manchester to shoot as guests in the North of England Universities Archery League. Despite heavy wind and sideways rain, we had two excellent scores good enough for individual bronze and silver medals.

The next day saw the west midlands novices tournament, open to anyone who has been shooting for less than 18 months. Several good scores were posted and once again the ladies excelled, taking away two gold medals and a close bronze.
