2016 - 2022 entry students
The third instalment of the Warwick Bursary for 2021 entry students was paid on 25th April 2022.
If you are in receipt of the Additional Bursary of £1000, you should have received this on 20th January 2022.
If you have been approved for a Warwick Bursary you can view your entitlement letter by logging in to your SFE portal
Your bursary entitlement will show on Evision once you are a fully enrolled student at the start of the academic year
Warwick Undergraduate Bursaries form a programme of non-repayable support. Awards of up to £3,000pa are intended to help with course-related costs.

I'm an Undergraduate Student who started their course between September 2016 and October 2022
Am I eligible?
To qualify for an award, you must fulfil the following criteria:
• Be a Warwick home student enrolled on your first, full-time (inc. 2+2) undergraduate course which started (or will start) between September 2016 and October 2022
• Have a family income as assessed by Student Finance England at below £35,001
• Be in receipt of a tuition fee loan* and maintenance loan from Student Finance England
• For your sixth form education have been educated at a state school or college in England or received a full fee-paying means-tested bursary at an Independent School in England. Alternatively, you may have received a partial means-tested bursary which is clearly indicative of an annual family income below £25,001 a year
*With the exception of students granted the WBS Foundation Year Scholarship

Am I eligible?
Please note - MBChB students may receive the Warwick Bursary (if eligible), for their first year of study only. This applies to students starting in the 2022 academic year.
To qualify for an award, you must fulfill the following criteria:
• Be a Warwick MBChB student in your first year, enrolled to start your course in the 2022/23 academic year
• Have a family income as assessed by Student Finance England at below £35,001
• Be in receipt of a tuition fee loan and maintenance loan from Student Finance England
What help is available each year?

• Students who are Care Leavers or who are from a Foyer background
• Mature students aged 21 or over at the start of their undergraduate course
• Students in receipt of the Special Support Element of the Maintenance Loan, Parents Learning Allowance, Childcare Grant or Adult Dependents Grant from the UK Government as part of their student support package*
• Students classed as independent students for student support purposes
How do I apply?
Students who attended a state school in England do not need to apply for our Warwick Bursary as this will be awarded automatically. Students who attended an independent school in England should follow the steps outlined in the table below.

How will I be paid?
Warwick Bursaries will be paid directly into the same bank account that your student loan and grants are paid into so there is no need to notify us of your bank details. You will receive an instalment each term of about a third of the yearly total. Your confirmation email will let you know the amounts and payment dates. If you are eligible for the additional bursary, this will be paid as a one-off payment in term 2.
