Programme Funding

Funding Criteria

All funded activity must:

• Be for the benefit of students’ extra-curricular experience, as defined in our objectives below
• Fit into one of the five workstreams below
• If an event, be available and promoted and ticketed through our events booking siteLink opens in a new window
• Be free to attend
• Be inclusive of students regardless of faculty
• Have a named contact responsible for maintaining set planning documents (e.g.: budget, risk register, etc), who will report to the Together at Warwick Working Group monthly on progress.
• Be targeted and evaluated using the common evaluation frameworkLink opens in a new window
• Be fully invoiced within 30 days of the end of the event, or the 31 July of each financial year - whichever is sooner.

As part of the bid, you will commit to these criteria and be expected to report to the Together at Warwick Working Group.

Workstreams

New activity is developed as part of one of five streams of work. This model enables effective allocation of resources for new work by achieving both breadth and depth of engagement.

Workstreams

1. Welcome, Induction & Transition
   Communications and events to support UG & PGT students with transitioning into & through their first year/term.
   Funding allocated separately by the Welcome Week Steering Group
2. Celebrations
   Large scale, vibrant events to bring the community together at key moments and to make student experience visible.
3. Spaces for Students
   Drop-in and join-in activities open to all - e.g.: Big Picnic, free tickets, Moves+ - to make room for creativity, play and connection in physical and digital spaces.
4. Co-Creation
   Deep-dive exploration with students to design future events, develop current ones, and devise longer-term projects.
5. Peer-to-Peer
   Peer-to-peer engagement, such as buddy schemes or student led communication campaigns to help students connect with others and engage in Warwick life and opportunities.

Objectives

All activity must:

1. Help students feel comfortable and integrated at Warwick
2. Celebrate students' own cultural capital
3. Provide memorable opportunities throughout the year to bring the student community together
4. Help students to make connections with others, especially people from different cultures
5. Add value to students’ time spent on campus

An evaluation cycle is required as part of any activity to measure the success of the work against these objectives.

If you would like to contribute an event to the programme, funding applications are now open for events taking place from October 2026. Please note, we are not able to consider funding requests for activity taking place within 60 days of the time of submission.

The funding deadline for all 26/27 activity is 1st June 2026
