It's the most wonderful time of the year and we can't wait to kick off the festive season with the very British tradition of turning on the Christmas Lights. Pop along to the Piazza to join us indulging in festive treats, singing along to Christmas music and cracking on with your Christmas shopping.
We've ordered illuminations, checked the bulbs twice, it's time to find out who's turning on the lights!
Christmas Market
11am - 6pm, Piazza
Maybe you've already wrapped all of your presents this year, or maybe you haven't started shopping yet (guilty!). Come and check out the Christmas Market for handcrafted and original gifts from independent stand holders even if it's a Christmas gift to yourself. You can also treat yourself to mulled wine and indulge in a range of festive treats!
Musical Performances
4pm - 5pm, Piazza
We'll be rocking around the Christmas tree in no time with live performances from the University's premier a Capella group, the Leamingtones, the University choir, Warwick Brass Society and Music Theatre Warwick!
Labyrinth Light Trail
4.15pm - 6pm, Chaplaincy Square (behind Senate House)
Experience the labyrinth's twisting turning path for fun or take a reflective approach with a guided walking sheet to help you look back at your journey last term, all lit up with that magical Christmas sparkle.
Pop in to the chaplaincy and stay for a free hot chocolate!
The Main(ger) Event
We'll have more lights in the piazza than ever before this year, and we'll be turning them on at around 5pm, but which renowned campus celebrity will have the honour of pressing the BIG RED BUTTON? Well, it could be you!
That's right, whether you consider yourself a big name on campus already or not, you'll be able to enter our FREE RAFFLE for the chance to be the one who brings that Christmas sparkle to life. The lucky winner will also receive a Christmas hamper, stuffed full of traditional festive treats.
Come find our Warwick Presents team on the piazza from 4pm to enter the free raffle, and we'll announce the winner during the Light Switch On Ceremony at 5pm.
