Warwick Presents free coach trip to Stratford.

Nestled in the heart of the Warwickshire country-side, Stratford-Upon-Avon is an historic town close to the University of Warwick, famous for being the birthplace of William Shakespeare.

Warwick Presents are offering a free coach trip to visit Stratford, with collection from either Leamington or campus, and a two hour walking tour included!

Nutcracker Christmas Shop, Stratford-Upon-Avon

Walking Tour

The walking tour (all outdoors) starts from the Nutcracker Christmas Shop (pictured above) and will pass Shakespeare's Birthplace, New Place, Hall's Croft, Harvard House, a range of architectural gems, Shakespeare's Schoolroom and Guildhall, the Guild Chapel, Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Holy Trinity Church. The guide will tell fascinating stories of Stratford's history, and Shakespeare's life through fire, flood and plague with a smattering of old-fashioned sayings and medieval medical cures

The River Avon bends through Stratford Town Centre, swans flock next to a barge, set against a backdrop of weeping willow trees and a ferris wheel.

Fancy Sticking Around?

If you're loving Stratford and want to stick around and make your own way back, that's no problem! The Stagecoach X18 bus runs from Stratford to Leamington Spa, with the last bus departing Stratford at 19:30. There is also a direct train from Stratford to Leamington too, with the last train leaving at 22:15.
