Business & Management, Economics, Accounting & Finance

Our International Foundation Programme in Business & Management, Economics, Accounting and Finance is designed to give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to progress to a wide range of business-related degrees at university. Whether your interests lie in management, finance, or the study of global economies, this course provides a strong academic foundation, preparing you for success at undergraduate level and beyond.

You will develop an understanding of how businesses and organisations operate, or how financial decisions are made, and how economic theories can be applied to real-world issues. Alongside subject-specific knowledge, you will strengthen key skills in academic research, communication, problem-solving, and quantitative analysis - all of which are essential for study in UK higher education.

This course offers three specialist routes:

  • Business and Management
  • Accounting and Finance
  • Economics

Whichever route you choose, you will benefit from small-group teaching, close academic support, and assessments designed to mirror the expectations of university study, including essays, reports, presentations and examinations. By the end of the course, you will be well-prepared to take the next step in your academic journey at degree level.

Business and Management

Gain insight into how organisations operate and the factors that drive business success. This route is ideal if you’re aiming for degrees in areas such as International Management, Marketing, Business Studies, Law and PPE.

Accounting and Finance

Build strong foundations in financial decision-making, business law and quantitative analysis. This route prepares you for undergraduate study in Accounting, Finance, and related fields.

  • Foundations of Business Law & Finance

Economics

Explore economic theories and models to understand how choices and policies shape the global economy. This route is designed for progression to Economics degrees, including those combined with Global Sustainable Development.
