Module Syllabi
The Warwick International Foundation Programme (Warwick IFP) comprises distinct academic courses designed to enable progression to a wide range of undergraduate programmes at Warwick and other UK institutions. The nine pathways offered provide the opportunity for greater specialisation, with content tailored to each discipline area.
Students are taught through tutorials, seminars and lectures, and are encouraged to develop independent learning strategies and critical thinking skills.
Below you will find links to our module catalogue, which contains full details of the modules available to students on each course. Every student will study four academic modules, including the new Academic Research and Communication Skills (ARCS) module, which has replaced Inquiry and Research Skills and English for Academic Purposes.
2026-27 update
- The 2026–27 academic year introduces a refreshed curriculum, designed to strengthen academic preparation and ensure closer alignment with undergraduate expectations.
- The Arts and Humanities, Biology and Chemistry pathways will not run in 2026–27. Students holding offers for these routes have been provided with alternative pathway options aligned to their intended progression goals, ensuring they can continue towards their chosen degree subject without disruption.
- The refreshed curriculum continues to emphasise discipline‑specific learning, academic literacy and research‑based assessment, supported by the new ARCS module, which now forms a core component of all pathways.
- The Bridging MathematicsLink opens in a new window module is offered to students identified at admissions stage as needing additional mathematical support. Delivered over 25 weeks and assessed entirely through coursework, it develops core mathematical and statistical skills, builds confidence in quantitative reasoning, and prepares students to engage successfully with the mathematical demands of their chosen discipline.
