Pre-sessional English Courses
The entry requirements will depend upon which Pre-Sessional course you are applying to, as well as which degree course you will be studying at Warwick, and the English language requirement for that course (Band A, B, or C)Link opens in a new window. You will need to submit a copy of your English Language Test certificate as part of the admissions process to evidence that you meet these entry requirements. You can apply before you have met these English requirements, and we will be able to issue a conditional offer, subject to you meeting the requirements below.
In some cases where you require a visa, we may only be able to accept a Secure English Language Test (IELTS for UKVI) - please check our Frequently Asked Questions for more details on these circumstances.
Please note that where you have taken more than one English language test, we are only able to accept the results from the most recent test that you submit.
You are eligible to apply for one of the Postgraduate Pre-sessional English courses if:
- Your first language is not English;
- You have an offer containing an English language condition to study a degree at University of Warwick for entry in 2026/27
- You meet the English language requirements for the Pre-Sessional English course
