Entry Requirements

Pre-sessional English Courses 2025

The entry requirements will depend upon which Pre-Sessional course you are applying to, as well as which degree course you will be studying at Warwick, and the English language requirement for that course (Band A, B, or C). You will need to submit a copy of your English Language Test certificate as part of the admissions process to evidence that you meet these entry requirements. You can apply before you have met these English requirements, and we will be able to issue a conditional offer, subject to you meeting the requirements below.

Please note that where you have taken more than one English language test, we are only able to accept the results from the most recent test.

Postgraduate Course Entry Requirements (10 and 6-week Courses)

Overview

You are eligible to apply for one of the Postgraduate Pre-sessional English courses if:

Your first language is not English;
You have an offer containing an English language condition to study a degree at the University of Warwick for entry in 2025/26;
You meet the English language requirements for the Pre-Sessional English course

WMG Postgraduate Courses

The entry requirements for WMG students have been specifically set in conjunction with the WMG department, to reflect their recognition that students who successfully complete the Pre-sessional English course are at a suitable level for postgraduate study in the department.

Please note, these entry requirements do not apply to the MSc Innovation and Entrepreneurship - students joining this course should check the Band B Postgraduate Course requirements.
