Induction

Welcome new students at the University of Warwick!

Learn more about Warwick's sustainability journey and about different sustainability projects and initiatives you can get involved with on campus:

Biodiversity and Ecology

Our goal is to enhance campus biodiversity, targeting a minimum 10% net gain compared with pre-development. Join our regular events to help us achieve this goal:

Circular Economy

Our primary goal is to reduce the total volume of waste produced, and, where that’s not possible, reuse and recycle. Participate in our projects and learn more about the importance of recycling:

Energy and Water

Our Energy Strategy is based on three principles: Reduce, Decarbonise, Smart. Warwick has a long history of leading the way in innovative, efficient energy systems. We are now evolving our infrastructure to move away from fossil fuels towards renewable energy sources, whilst working hard to reduce our energy demand on campus. Our Energy and Carbon Report details our progress. Learn more about energy and water usage on campus:

Transport & Mobility

Our campus is a living lab, so we can test out new mobility ideas, approaches and technologies that will help to address the climate emergency.

By getting involved and trying out new modes of transport, you'll be helping to inform research and innovation, as well as contributing towards realising a better world for future generations.
