What is Living Lab

Explore and Engage with Our Campus

Our campus is a unique ecosystem, offering endless opportunities to learn and engage with sustainability in action. Whether through studying the biodiversity of our green spaces, understanding the energy dynamics of our buildings, or exploring the social impact of our initiatives, the Living Lab invites everyone to see the campus as a dynamic learning space. This hands-on approach helps deepen our understanding of how sustainable practices can be integrated into our everyday lives and work.

A Living Lab is characterised by several key elements that distinguish it from traditional research project:

  1. Projects are conducted in actual environments (our campus) not controlled settings.
  2. Involves multiple stakeholders working together to design and implement solutions.
  3. Focuses on the needs and experiences of the community.
  4. Integrates knowledge from various fields to solve complex real-world challenges.
  5. Promotes sharing of data, processes, and outcomes openly.
