City Nature Challenge 2025 bioblitz

We are once again participating in the annual City Nature Challenge, a global initiative that promotes citizen science and the recording of wildlife.

Join us to learn about the importance of citizen science and how you can contribute to using the iNaturalist appLink opens in a new window. It's a fun and easy way to record wildlife all year round, during your daily commute, lunchtime walk, weekend trips or holidays.

This year the City Nature Challenge runs between Friday 25th and Monday 28th April.

The collaboration of Coventry and Warwickshire has been going from strength to strength in the past few years, with 4326 observations of 903 species in 2024 (placing the team in the top 10 in the UK leaderboard), compared to 2667 observations of 692 species in 2023!

In 2025, Coventry and Warwickshire joins forces with SolihullLink opens in a new window to make an even bigger impact on documenting nature in the region. We are pleased to contribute to this effort by running a bioblitz event on campus on Monday 28th April.
