Earlier this year, we launched our refreshed Environmental Sustainability Strategy, setting out our vision for Warwick to be a sector-leading institution in environmental sustainability. The strategy focuses on five key pillars: Research & Education, Education & Student Experience, Community & Engagement, Oversight & Decision-making, and Operations, embedding sustainability across the University and empowering our community to drive positive change locally, nationally and globally. Biodiversity and Ecology

Our goal is to achieve the Wildlife Trust's Biodiversity BenchmarkLink opens in a new window for nature positive-site management by 2030, and to increase pre-development biodiversity levels by at least 10% through habitat creation and enhancement projects across campus. Energy and Water

Our Energy Strategy is based on three principles: Reduce, Smart, Decarbonise. Warwick has a long history of leading the way in innovative, efficient energy systems. We are now evolving our infrastructure to move away from fossil fuels towards renewable energy sources, whilst working hard to reduce our energy demand on campus. Transport & Mobility

Our campus is a living lab, so we can test out new mobility ideas, approaches and technologies that will help to address the climate emergency.
