At Warwick, we are embedding sustainability across all research activities - from interdisciplinary collaborations to real-world applications - through pioneering methodologies, cross-sector partnerships, and impactful outcomes.

Our Sustainability Spotlight and Institute for Global Sustainable Development (IGSD) bring together researchers across disciplines to address complex sustainability challenges, while Research and Impact Services (RIS) provides crucial support for sustainability-focused funding opportunities and knowledge exchange.

Case Studies from across the University showcase how Warwick research is driving transformative change in areas from renewable energy to sustainable food systems. Initiatives like our Sustainability Spotlight Series highlight emerging research that addresses pressing environmental and social challenges.

We also demonstrate our commitment through being signatories of the Concordat for the Environmental Sustainability of Research and Innovation Practice, ensuring ethical and sustainable research practices, while our Living Lab approach transforms our campus into a testbed for sustainability innovations developed by our own researchers and students. Our Lab Frameworks (such as LEAF) provide support for laboratories to reduce their carbon emissions and create an environment that enhances research quality.

Together, these efforts reflect our commitment to aligning with the University's Sustainability Strategy and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals - ensuring our research not only advances knowledge but creates tangible impact for our people and our planet.
