Celebrating International Bat Night with a bat-friendly campus
Recently, University staff shadowed our licensed ecological consultants whilst they carried out an assessment of the more than 60 bat boxes we have on campus. We were thrilled to find quite a number of the boxes occupied, showing that our work to provide habitat and shelter is successful.
University of Warwick receives £1.5 million grant to support groundbreaking research in sustainable energy, advanced materials, and manufacturing
The grant from the Wolfson Foundation will go towards the acquisition of a new aberration-corrected Scanning Transmission Electron Microscope (ac-STEM), a transformative investment that will create one of the world's leading platforms for electron microscopy and materials characterisation.
Not just a tick box exercise!
This month we undertook the first ever tick survey on campus to further increase our knowledge about the biodiversity on site. This knowledge enables us to continue employing evidence-based decision making that will benefit both wildlife and people. Read on to find out what we found!
