WMG at the University of Warwick has boosted the West Midlands economy by £450 million – with every £1 invested into WMG’s small and medium enterprise (SME) programmes, around £22 has returned to the local economy.

The University of Warwick has been ranked 6th among the UK universities most targeted by the country’s leading graduate employers according to ‘The Graduate Market in 2024’ survey.

Blue Coat School in Coventry hosted a vibrant and inclusive community Iftar dinner on 21 March, marking a celebration of unity, diversity, and communal harmony. The event was supported by the University of Warwick as part of the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) schools network project to give opportunities and experiences to schoolchildren in Coventry.

Staff and students from across WMG at the University of Warwick had another busy, fun-packed British Science Week, taking part in a total of seven special STEM events reaching out to more than 1,100 young scientists, teachers, and families.

The University of Warwick will help drive the delivery of a HealthTech Campus at Arden Cross. The Campus will form part of a wider Innovation District at the heart of the £3.2bn regeneration opportunity, facilitated by the HS2 Interchange station in Solihull.

The technology was first used in 2014 when West Midlands Police approached WMG’s Professor Mark Williams to ask for help with their investigation into the grisly Birmingham canal murder, where a body was discovered in a suitcase in a Birmingham canal.

The future of farming has been highlighted at the Warwickshire Rural Hub’s inaugural major farming conference.
