University of Warwick’s first Pride event is set to be the biggest in Coventry this year

The University of Warwick is set to host a Pride event this summer, for the first time in the University’s history. This year, Coventry Pride is not taking place, so the University campus will welcome students and local communities, for the biggest celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in Coventry this year.

University of Warwick Students Celebrate World Refugee Day by Empowering and Supporting Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Coventry

On World Refugee Day, the University of Warwick is proud to recognize the extraordinary efforts of its students who have selflessly dedicated their free time to assist and uplift refugees and asylum seekers residing in hotels in Coventry. Led by co-presidents Bel Govier and EloÏse Bui, Warwick STAR (Student Action for Refugees) has over 300 students who are committed to making a difference to the lives of those seeking refuge.

Warwick joins with local partners to further boost city’s growing reputation for culture

The University of Warwick has joined forces with Coventry University and Coventry City Council for an ambitious 10-year plan to enhance the city’s growing reputation as a major centre for culture and arts. Coventry Culture Works, a new initiative between the three partners, aims to boost investment into the city’s cultural and creative economy, and attract new events, artists and companies into the area.

New taste and smell test could diagnose Alzheimer's long before memory loss starts

The research, led by WMG at the University of Warwick together with Superlunary Labs and with support from University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust, New-Food innovation, and Alzheimer’s Society, could lead to UK-wide screening services where members of the public can take a simple smell and taste test. Those who perform poorly can then be referred for further tests which could result in an Alzheimer’s diagnosis.

The University of Warwick is excited to announce the launch of "#DocTok," a new initiative that harnesses the expertise of medical doctor Dr James Gill to address and communicate possible medical concerns to the younger generation. #DocTok videos will appear on the official University of Warwick TikTok page @UniOfWarwick the popular social media platform to provide accessible and accurate information on a wide range of health issues, from chlamydia to tonsillitis, anxiety, and depression.
