Notes for delegates to the “Free at Last? Interdisciplinary Conference to Commemorate the Bicentennial Anniversary of the Abolition of the British Atlantic Slave Trade” to be held at the Centre for Caribbean University of Warwick

The conference will be held at the University of Warwick from 6.00 p.m. on Wednesday 11th July to 4. 00. p. m. on Friday 13th July. Delegates must register for the conference online. Please see link to Registration below.
Accommodation
Accommodation will be at Rootes Residences, a student residence with the option of standard rooms or en suite rooms. Breakfasts and dinner on the 11th July will be in the Rootes Restaurant, lunches will be taken adjacent to the meeting rooms which are in the Humanities Building. The rum punch reception and conference dinner on 12th July will be held in EAT restaurant in the Arts Centre.

This page also gives full details of conference fees. You will need to pay by ‘worldpay’ or by sterling cheque.If you are presenting a paper you MUST register by 1 May 2007, or your name will not appear on the final programme. If you are not presenting a paper please register ASAP.
Getting to The University of Warwick
The nearest station is Coventry station. If travelling from London you will travel from London Euston to Coventry. You can then take a taxi (around £6- £7) or a No.12 bus which will take you to the central campus, Rootes Building is the stop you require, and register for the conference and your accommodation at Rootes Reception.
