EMECC postgraduate reading/research/work-in-progress group
This is the inaugral session of the EMECC reading and research group for 2017-18.
The group is open to any with an interest in early modern/Renaissance/18thC history including PGs and UGs (those taking the relevant modules).
The plan to provide a congenial peer environment and the opportunity to present a succinct talk of 10-15 minutes about any recent aspect of your research, explaining, expanding and discussing. It could be, for example, introducing a source or linked sources, a piece of your own writing, or an explanation of your methodology for research. (We could do three in a session, perhaps?)
Prof. Mark Knightâs PhD students will be taking the lead initially. Hopefully, this will inspire contributions across the board.
First Session - Thursday 12th October 2017. 12.15-1.45pm
Venue: SO. 11 (Social Science) (note room change)
1. Martyn Cutmore: Christopher Feake and Puritan Genealogical Identity
2. David Fletcher: Choosing 25 plays out of 700 – a sampling methodology
3. A Volunteer if one comes forward in time.
