We, Global Histories would like to call your attention to the opportunity for your students to participate in the next edition of ‘Global Histories: A Student Journal’. This open-access academic online journal is run by students from the MA Global History programme at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Freie Universität Berlin, and the first edition of its ninth volume currently in production.

Our editorial team has extended our new call for papers until January 31st 2025 . Many of the students whose work we have published in our last editions were first encouraged to submit to our journal by their professors. This is also the reason for us to inform you about our call for papers, hoping for your understanding and support for our request!

For this edition, we are seeking research articles of between 5000 and 7500 words related to global history. We are looking for papers considering global history from all time periods and geographic regions, as well as from interdisciplinary perspectives.

We also welcome submissions of shorter essays of between 1500 and 3000 words discussing methodology and research perspectives in global history, as well as recently published book or conference reviews.

We are happy to discuss potential topics or answer any other queries from applicants; these comments should be directed to submissions@globalhistories.com.
