Dr Sara Miglietti

After three wonderful years at Warwick's CSR, during which she was the grateful recipient of a Warwick Alumni DARO scholarship (2012-2015), Sara started a job as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of French Renaissance Literature at Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, USA). While in Baltimore, she helped establish the collaborative network Antiquity and Its Uses: Reception and Renewal, which inaugurated the ongoing tradition of student exchanges between JHU and Warwick. During this time, she also held research fellowships at the Warburg Institute, the Bodleian Library, and Balliol College, Oxford, where she was the Oliver Smithies Visiting Research Lecturer in Hilary Term 2018.

In July 2018, Sara left Johns Hopkins for her current position as Senior Lecturer in Cultural and Intellectual History at London's Warburg Institute. She is now Principal Investigator on a major Leverhulme grant (Writing Bilingually, 1465-1700) and also serves as Director of the Warburg's PhD programme. None of this would have been possible without the mentorship and support she received during her time at Warwick, which she will always remember with fondness and gratitude.
