Sara Miglietti
In 2012, fresh from a PhD in Philosophy from the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa and the Université Paris Descartes, Sara took the slightly crazy decision of embarking on a second PhD in Renaissance Studies at Warwick.
This turned out to be an excellent decision. After three deeply enriching years during which she was the grateful recipient of a Warwick Alumni DARO scholarship, Sara went on to land a tenure-track job as Assistant Professor of French Renaissance Literature at Johns Hopkins University (USA). While in Baltimore, she was one of the leaders of 'Antiquity and Its Uses: Reception and Renewal', a collaborative project between JHU's Singleton Center and Warwick's CSR. During this time, she also held research fellowships at the Warburg Institute, the Bodleian Library, and Balliol College, Oxford, where she was the Oliver Smithies Visiting Research Lecturer in Hilary Term 2018.
In July 2018, Sara left JHU to take on a new position as Senior Lecturer in Cultural and Intellectual History at London's Warburg Institute in London, of which she currently directs the PhD programme.
