The Progresses: Publishing Prospectus

The principal outcome of the John Nichols project will be an old-spelling edition of the early modern source texts collected in John Nichols' The Progresses ... of Queen Elizabeth I (1788-1823). The working-title for this edition is Court and Culture in the Reign of Queen Elizabeth I: A New Critical Edition of John Nichols' Progresses of Queen Elizabeth I. The publishing prospectus is currently under consideration by potential publishers. Publication is scheduled for 2006.
