Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Neo-Latin Studies (LBI). The LBI intends to make up for the limited number of studies and institutions devoted to Neo-Latin literature by its exclusive dedication to Neo-Latin literature (with a focus on the 16th to the 18th centuries) and by a fresh approach: many studies have tended to look at Neo-Latin from the perspective of other disciplines such as classics, history, or the modern languages, which has cemented a misconception of the inferior nature and backward orientation of Neo-Latin literature. Société Française d’Études Médio- et Néo-Latines (SEMEN-L). La Société Française d’Études Médio- et Néo-Latines (SEMEN-L), créée en 2006, fait suite à la Société Française d’Études Néo-latines (SFENL) fondée en 1998. La SFENL a publié neuf bulletins, un annuaire et organisé deux congrès internationaux.
