Teaching Neo-Latin: texts, materials, didactic challenges: A digital workshop

Co-organised by: The Warburg Institute, the Teaching Committee of the International Association for Neo-Latin Studies (IANLS)(Opens in new window)Link opens in a new window, the Society for Neo-Latin Studies (SNLS)(Opens in new window)Link opens in a new window, the Ludwig-Boltzmann-Institute for Neo-Latin Studies (LBI)(Opens in new window)Link opens in a new window and the Seminarium Philologiae Humanisticae(Opens in new window)Link opens in a new window of KU Leuven.

The aim of this online event is to bring together (especially early career) researchers and teachers interested and involved in the teaching of Neo-Latin texts at both school and university level. Five speakers will explore ways to assemble teaching material and deliver the teaching, and papers will reflect on the tools and platforms already available, and those which are still needed in order to successfully implement Neo-Latin teaching more broadly in schools and universities. We also invite comments from anyone in attendance and a general pooling of ideas through general discussion between each paper is a key desideratum.

Each speaker will present for 20 minutes followed by 15 minutes of discussion.
