Applications for the International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR) 2020 are now open!

ICUR is a great opportunity for you to present your research to a global audience. Sponsored by the Monash-Warwick Alliance, the video-linked conference will take place from 29-30 September 2020, connecting students at the University of Warwick, Monash University, as well as other institutions around the world.

The deadline for abstract submissions is Sunday 31 May 2020. You can submit your abstract here.

Dr Stéphanie Panichelli-Batalla, the Head of School for Cross-faculty Studies, has had her latest article on Cuban internationalism published by The Conversation UK. The article is titled 'By sending doctors to Italy, Cuba continues its long campaign of medical diplomacy'. You can read the article in full here.

Dr Bryan Brazeau (SFHEA), Senior Teaching Fellow in Liberal Arts has recently been nominated for both the Warwick Awards for Teaching Excellence, and the Warwick Awards for Personal Tutoring Excellence. This is a considerable endorsement of both Bryan's teaching practice and his approach towards his pastoral responsibilities.

In November 2020, Head of School for Cross-faculty Studies Dr Stephanie Panichelli-Batalla will run a four-hour-long session on her research on Life Stories of Cuban Internationalist Healthcare Professionals. The session will be for a course titled "Fuentes orales para la investigación en artes y humanidades" (Oral sources for research in arts and humanities).

The course will be offered to PhD students of the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid working in the Arts and Humanities field and who are interested in working with oral sources but have not yet received any training to do so.

The short course on oral history is a result of a successful funding application by colleagues at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Dr Particia Mayayo and Dr Neomi Deharo.
