Liberal Arts at Warwick is home to a close-knit community of passionate and engaged staff and students. Warwick Liberal Arts has established its reputation for outstanding teaching and learning. We were ranked first in the UK in the 2026 Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide. In 2022, 2023, and 2024 the department ranked first in the UK for teaching quality and student experience and second overall in UK Liberal Arts rankings (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023, 2024, 2025). Our dedication to student support is also reflected in our our consistently high National Student Survey (NSS) rankings. For example, we were the top-rated Liberal Arts programme in the 2026 NSS.

There are two ways you can experience liberal education through Liberal Arts at Warwick:

Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons)

This course is built around a strong core delivered by Liberal Arts and augmented by unprecedented flexibility to work with departments from across Warwick. You will develop critical thinking skills in a interdisciplinary environment while exploring topics that matter to you in a degree that will grow alongside your thinking and interests.

Bachelor of Arts and Sciences (BASc Hons)

On this specially-designed course you will have the chance to benefit from Warwick's sector-leading Liberal Arts programme whilst specialising in the sciences or social sciences. You will be able to combine critical interdisciplinary approaches with a strong grounding in quantitative studies.
