SOCIAT Interactive Platform
Developing the SOCIAT platform:
A Smarter, Data-Driven Approach to Protecting Nature & Communities
At Warwick University we are transforming SOCIAT tool to an online Interactive Platform. The platform will change the way we assess the social impacts of conservation and restoration projects, ensuring that nature policies are both environmentally sustainable and socially just.
Designed with cutting-edge predictive analytics, real-time data collection, and spatial mapping, SOCIAT will provide practitioners, policymakers, NGOs, and businesses with an all-in-one digital tool to measure, analyze, and forecast the social effects of biodiversity interventions.
Why a new platform?
One-Stop Solution: Streamlines social impact assessments into a single, easy-to-use online tool.
Predictive Power: Anticipate social trends and policy impacts before they happen.
Community-Centered: Captures real perspectives from local people affected by conservation efforts.
Scientifically Proven: Built on years of research and tested across27 protected areas with 6,000+ participants.
Scalable & Global: Suitable for local projects and large-scale biodiversity initiatives alike.
Actionable Insights: Generates instant reports and interactive data visualizations to inform policy decisions.
