Making Engaging Asynchronous Videos

Since March 2020, teaching staff have grown accustomed to teaching synchronously via Microsoft Teams. At the same time, asynchronous teaching and learning has frequently the form of recorded videos.

This session will explore whether it's worthwhile creating asynchronous videos from scratch. It will seek to answer the following questions:

Should teaching staff generate "tailor made" asynchronous content, rather than offering recordings of synchronous sessions?

If so, what does a high quality asynchronous video look and feel like?

Which software can be used to enhance its aesthetic and educational impact?
