Katherine Ong
Katherine is currently studying for the MA in Translation, Writing and Cultural Difference at Warwick, which primarily focuses on translation from German to English and has a particular literary emphasis. She has been looking at approaches to translating Brecht, as well as touching on some Shakespeare (‘Shall I compare thee’ sonnet). Much of her current academic work involves the awareness and negotiation of linguistic and cultural difference. She has a strong interest in the theatre, having studied two drama‑related modules as part of her BA course, and she attends performances whenever she can.
She worked with the Berliner Ensemble on their visiting production of Richard II in Stratford-upon-Avon.
