The workshop will take place on the campus of the University of Warwick (online campus map / campus map in pdf), at the Centre for Discrete Mathematics and its Applications (DIMAP), in the building of the Warwick Mathematics Institute (number 35 on the campus map).
However, since the accommodation on the campus is very limited and often expensive, we're providing a list of hotels and guest houses (bed-and-breakfast) in four locations:

  • Kenilworth,
  • Leamington Spa,
  • Coventry, and
  • on the campus.

You can see the locations of the hotels on our accommodation map.

The list is for information only and does not imply recommendations. Also, the prices given should be used four guideline only and are subject to change.

Depending on your needs, you may prefer to stay either on the campus (typical price range £90 £125 and up), or in one of three neighbouring towns Kenilworth or Leamington Spa or Coventry. All towns are about 10-15 minutes ride from the campus by car or taxi, and convenient public transportation (frequent buses) is also available.

Very informal recommendations: depending on your budget and mobility: if you are OK with spending around £90 £125 per night and staying on the campus then go for Radcliffe House on the campus, where you won't have problems with commuting and the quality is very good (incl. Internet connection etc).
Otherwise, go for any of the B&B and hotels in Kenilworth (first four have convenient access to public transportation; the other two would require the use of taxis or a car), or Victoria Park Hotel in Leamington Spa.

Kenilworth

Kenilworth is a small town close to the University of Warwick, perhaps best known for its beautiful ruins of Kenilworth castle. The town has a number of nice restaurant and pubs. The prices for the accommodation are in the range of £40-90 per night, depending on whether a hotel or a B&B is chosen. Kenilworth is about 5-10 minutes drive by taxi to the campus . There are local bus services (16/12/Unibus (U1/U2)) between Kenilworth and the University.

Leamington Spa

Royal Leamington Spa is a small, fashionable town with beautiful Georgian and Victorian architecture, a few miles away from the campus. They have a good selection of shops, nice restaurants and pubs, and some night clubs. This town is also a headquarter of Mike, who has been living here for a few decades. Leamington Spa is about 15 minutes drive by taxi to the campus . There are local bus services (16/12/Unibus (U1/U2)) between Leamington Spa and the University.

Coventry

Coventry (see also wiki) is the nearest city to the University of Warwick and home to many students who live off-campus. It has convenient public transportation to/from the campus and it is very well connected by rail and coaches with the main cities and the airport in the UK.

On-campus accommodation

As an alternative there exists the possibility for on-campus accommodation in Radcliffe House, Scarman House, or Arden House. The price should be approximately £90 £125 or more per night. The rooms in Scarman, Radcliffe and Arden are of good three-star hotel standard and are available subject to availability. Facilities for families i.e. cots, highchairs etc. are not available at Scarman, Radcliffe and Arden.

Radcliffe House and Scarman House

Radcliffe House and Scarman House are two hotels conveniently located near to the Workshop venue.

Arden House

Arden House is a hotel located at the Westwood Campus, on the outskirts of the main campus at the same rates as stated for Scarman and Radcliffe.
